Speaking - Teacher and students should be given equal time to voice their mathematical thoughts

When you don't know the answer to a question you will be more willing to allow your students time to talk their way to a solution. You should say things like:

'Convince me that your solution is reasonable.'

'How do you know that you have found a solution?'
