These aurora pictures were taken during the early winter of 2003 from just outside Lightstreet, PA  These were 15 second time exposures taken with a tripod mounted Canon G2 digital camera.

This lunar eclipse image was taken from the same Lightstreet location as the aurora pictures above. This was also taken during the winter of 2003.

This sunset image was taken from the parking lot of  the Southern Columbia High School during mid summer 2002.
 
The picture to the left is a 4.5" reflector type telescope used here for amateur astronomy.  This is a Orion Telescope model that they sold about 6 years ago.  With the supplied eyepeices the magnifactaion can run either 25 or 100 power.  The first two pictures below show a home-made adapter to connect my Canon G2 digital camera to the telescope.  The second two pictures below show the G2 and the camera/adapter combo in place on the telescope.
