These aurora pictures were taken during the
early winter of 2003 from just outside Lightstreet, PA These were
15 second time exposures taken with a tripod mounted Canon G2 digital camera.

lot of the Southern Columbia High School during mid summer 2002.

The picture to the left is a 4.5" reflector
type telescope used here for amateur astronomy. This is a Orion Telescope
model that they sold about 6 years ago. With the supplied eyepeices
the magnifactaion can run either 25 or 100 power. The first two pictures
below show a home-made adapter to connect my Canon G2 digital camera to the
telescope. The second two pictures below show the G2 and the camera/adapter
combo in place on the telescope.
