Bought the 52 in Glenside PA for $1500. The seller told me it had been in their family for 50 years. Came with original invoice and all the service records. Bought and picked up in August 2005 with the help of "Hippie"
Original ad read. "6-cylinder, 3 speed manual on the steering column, runs but needs body and interior work. 81k miles, owned by our family for 50 years, for much of its life it was driven by my grandmother to church and the grocery store. Have most original parts including the fender skirts"
After bringing the car home I heard from the previous owner's son and he wanted a set of bells that were hanging from the mirror. I emailed him back that I would mail them to him but was curious about what the bells were? His reply was, "In the mid-late 50's it was apparently a fad for young women to pin bells to their shoes to get some attention and stir up a little trouble. My Mom kept hers where you found them. Just a memory of simpler and happier times for my Mom."
