Charles Haldeman was Christian Haldeman, son of Hezekiah and Mariah Haldeman. He enlisted at Mauch Chunk. Married to Polly Nuss in 1858, he had two daughters, Salina and Isabella. Wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg, his right leg was amputated in three operations. Christian died in December, 1882 and is buried at Summit Hill PA. Information from a descendant.

Richard Muthart was added from information from his great grandson.

Lewis Bernhard was an Indian orphan who had been a student at the Carlisle Indian School in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  He was 17 at the time of his enlistment.  Was possibly wounded at Manassas.
