Notes

Hugh Mulligan immigrated from Donegal, Ireland, He resigned his commission as Captain on August 8, 1861 when Company F returned to Harrisburg from the Cumberland Valley.  Hugh applied for a pension in June 1892 and was killed in a railroad accident September 20, 1898 at Bayonne, New Jersey. Information from his great great nephew.

William H. Rehrig's letters to his wife, Sarah A. of Parryville, and his father, William E. of Lehighton, are in the possession of his great grandson. William's daughter, Agnes Rehrig Yarns, along with her daughter, Inez, dedicated the site of the orphan's home at Harford, Susquehanna County PA, as an historical site. Agnes was a one-time resident of the home.

John C. Hills was missed in Bates. He was added from information received from a descendant.
