Hello Graduate or Friend of Woodrow Wilson High School,
I was able to organize a small last minute gathering in October 2002 at the Woodbine Inn for about 40 people. A non-profit group called the Friends and Grads of WWHS had scheduled an "all class reunion" event aboard the Battleship NJ but was cancelled due to not enough sign-ups. There were a few people who had already planned to come from out of state, so I arranged a gathering for anyone who wanted to attend. From that sprang a reunion committee for an informal Riversharks ballgame picnic in June 2003, which got postponed due to rain, so we met at Hank's Bar instead and went to the picnic the next day. In October 2003 at the Cinderella Ballroom, we had a large wonderful off-year reunion with special entertainment of the Mamas and the Papas (I was Mama Cass, Liz Mahaffy was Michelle, and, Wayne Norman and Neil Lewis were the Papas) and Blues Brothers (Lou DiRenzo and Harry Doer). In 2005, we had a FUN well attended 35th Reunion weekend in Wildwood. Recently, our 40th Reunion for the Woodrow Wilson Class of 1970 and Friends was held the weekend of October 15, 2010. It was a blast!
It was quite a time consuming
chore to keep the database current, so after about six years of maintaining it, gave it
up. Today, it is easy to stay in touch through Classmates and Facebook, and you
can even find friends by doing a search on Google. If you would like to
contact your classmates, I suggest the first step would be to join Facebook. If that's not
your thing, at least register with Classmates.
They do not charge to register, but do charge a fee if you wish to email others on the
list or read their profiles. If you register with them, paid members can contact
you, you can get notifications of reunions, and, you also can post to the Wilson
Message Board. If you joined classmates.com years ago and have meanwhile gotten a
different email addresss, please update it on the site or you won't get your
