THE COWHER FAMILY

 

We are the Cowher's.
My name is Gordy; my wife is Anne. We have three children: Kelsey, Trey and Connor.

Anne graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1980, and then from Millersville University in 1984 with a B.A. in Art. After a year of coaching and teaching swimming lessons, Anne decided to return to school to obtain her teaching certificate. She did so, and after a couple of years of substituting in various districts, landed a full-time job in the Manheim Central School District where she has been an Art teacher since 1988. Anne enjoys photography, scrapbooking and gardening.

Gordy graduated from Conestoga Valley High School in 1977, and then from Penn State University in 1982 with a B.S. degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in math. After graduation, Gordy spent six years teaching high school math at Octorara Area High School. At the conclusion of the 1987 - 1988 school year, Gordy interviewed at Warwick High School and was offered a job. He accepted the new position and has been employed at Warwick ever since. From 1994 - 1996 Gordy went back to school to pursue a Master's Degree. At the end of the summer of 1996, he finished his couse work and was awarded an M.S. Degree in Technology for Educators from Johns Hopkins University. Gordy enjoys doing home improvement projects and playing soccer.
