This class really taught you how to look at the tiniest detail to make text
stand out at its best. I'm pretty proud of the work I produced in this class.
-------------
We needed to recreate the letter "A" in a form that describes ourselves and
name it. I chose 'Enigmatic'
-------------
This assignment was to redesign the cover and some content of a book examinging
every minute detail that would be pleasing to the eye.
-------------
These three pieces 'advertise' a certain font using each font's individual
qualities. From left to right: Akzidenz-Grotesk, Bodoni, and Futura.
My first class of Graphic Design:
The first two describe the words 'order' and 'earthquake/faultline.'
The last one is my initials "JL." These projects were to introduce us to Photoshop and Illustrator.
My second class of Graphic Design:
This class introduced us to integrating text with design. The first two are of a poster and post card
to advertise the art department at my college. The poison poster was an informative poster and the last five
snippets was for a project where we had to make stationary, a business card, and a T-Shirt design for the Philadelphia
Zoo.
My third class of Graphic Design:
This class introduced us to Quark (which was difficult to use at first but now I love it!).
The first snippet is where we had to recreate a CD design that was originally unappealing to the eye. The next two is a six panel brochure (front
and back) for the NY Festival. The rest of the snippets are of pages for a made-up magazine. We were given text and some
pictures to create two articles, a contents page, front and back cover, and some ads if we'd like.
These were from a logo contest for the Art Club at my college. Unfortunately, I didn't win. This is what I submitted:
The following is a project that is still in the making for a company called Arner Properties.
This work is not related to school. I created two logos, a website, business card, and a brochure. Below
are the two logos and the business card. The website can be found on my Web Design link above and the brochure
is still in the making.
