Paintings/Drawings
Click on each mini picture to view each work of art.
Notice the progression from High School through College.
I was originally not going to include the 'not so great' paintings but decided to keep them.
I wanted to show learning in progress.
College Freshman Year Paintings/Drawings:
Includes abstract art, sketches, some pastels (which I LOVE), and two prints at the end. The last one is
of a hand playing a saxophone. Some people can't see it....kind of an illusion to some people.
--------------
College Sophomore Year Paintings:
These are all either oil paints or oil pastels. I especially like the first two snippets.
The first one was a result of when I get mad at the computer. The second one of the eggs and the apple
is one of my personal favorites! The last one was painted from a photograph of my sister on the teacups at Disney World.
--------------
These last four are a series based on a different species of tree: apple, birch,
maple, and oak respectively. They are collages made of paint and mixed media.
They look a little muddy but up close, you can notice a poem that's interlaced in each collage.
--------------
High School Paintings/Drawings:
Includes watercolor, sketches, a portrait of me using a mirror, a tryptich (shows outside and inside panels)
and sculpture.
What the heck is that yellow thing!? Why, it's a Pikachu cookie jar! But wait
a minute...that tree in the tryptich looks reeeeally familiar. (I used a tree from Quest for Glory I as a model!)
--------------
This first one is of me painting a part of a mural for my High School.
The Sound of Music sketch was for a playbill cover for a school play. I was the art director and also created all the background and backdrops for
the play.
The Lincoln snippet is of me displaying my art for a High School art show for the seniors. The last one is a pond I painted
for a miniature golf course.
Like what you see?
