"If life throws you a lemon...put your face on it!"
-Julie Leiby

Voila! Some fruit with my face slapped on them for a self-portrait project. Neato!

These three are from a copyright assignment.
We scanned in images and manipulated them so we can call
them our own without infringing on copyright issues.

This is a futuristic landscape of what we thought
the world would be like in a thousand years. I think people will start
to use parts of their minds that they've never used before...

Holy crap! What the heck are these!?
Everyone in our class had their picture taken and with the portraits, we created our own 'frankenstein' by taking eyes, noses, etc, to create our own hybrid. The purpose was to make it as seemless as possible.
How well did I do?

A collage using a certain amount of elements. I designed mine after the collage artist, Dave McKean.

Traditional Photography

These twelve prints were created in the darkroom. The first three snippets and the icicle are solarized which is a process where the photo paper is exposed to light while having it in the developing liquid. The end result makes the whites a grey therefore having a 'negative' look.

What the heck is that last snippet of? It's a green bell pepper!

This set of color prints was taken by a regular film camera that wasn't so great. The negatives were developed at Wal-Mart which was my first mistake! They hardly change their chemistry thus the colors and clarity of the photos are damaged. I plan on getting a good digital camera to get better quality.

Ok, these last six prints are a series. I LOVE these...some people say they are disturbing but I had quite a bit of fun taking these.    These were also created in the darkroom:
