Sports & Activities

Anyone who has or has had kids knows that there is no free time when the kids are young (unless they're doing homework).  Here are a few pictures of some of the things the kids have been up to.

Alex's first season of Spring Baseball was in a tee-ball league.  He quickly dumped the tee and started beating up on the Coaches best stuff.

This isn't Mark McGuire on first, Dad!

Two views of the batting stance that never looks the same twice.  If the karate-kid leg kick does work, you go to the flat-footed Piazza style for the power swing.

"Okay Andrew, if the, we're only down by 12 runs, so be agressive out there."

What do you do when it's 10 degrees outside?  Indoor Soccer, of course.

Now this is the way soccer should be played, on grass.  This is from the world famous, Jerry Sheska, Pocono Youth Soccer Camp.  From Morris Knolls to East Stroudsburg University.  Almost world famous.

Rule #15 of the scouting handbook - Cub Scouts can not carry a tune, especially when they're allowed to play with fire.  This is from the candle light vigil after the atttack on September 11th.  Good thing we had some ESU students there to keep God Bless America going.

No, this is not an anthrax scare.  It's just Andrew and his scout den at the local fire department getting the tour.  Wearing the equipment, riding in the engine and knocking down a cone with the hose gave these guys a real appreciation for what it was like to be a fireman.  Andrew's still trying to close the nozzle to shut off the water.

Alex, and his Paul O'Neill (that was not a #&%@ strike) stare.

Fall baseball turned into Dad's nightmare.  Corporate sponsership went out the window, so each team was given a Major League team name and uniform.  What did I do to have my kids put on the Boston Red Sox?  You can stop laughing, Jay.  At least it wasn't the Diamondbacks, but we won't go there.  It's still too painfull.

Here's Andrew getting ready to turn two.  I think the ball ended up by that yellow sawhorse.
