Should have won: 2004 - "Amish Couple"; 2005 - "Shazam and Isis"
I guess its high time we put something of substance on this page. Hey, we are slowly getting there. Very slowly, but at least now there are photos to see, such as this one on the left, taken at the Lefever's annual Halloween party in October 2002. Rick and Lisa went as Monty Hall and a crazy contestant on "Let's Make a Deal." With their wacky threads, cool sandwich board sign, and a clever three curtain box filled with prizes and zonks, the pair earned their third victory in four years for "Most Creative" costume at the party.
Previous winning costumes were Hi and Ed McDonough ("Raising Arizona") in 2001, and black-and-white characters from the colorized "Pleasantville" in 1999. They were no-shows for the 2000 - the only time they've missed it since first crashing the party back in 1994.
Previous efforts include: 1994 - Dorothy and the Scarecrow; 1995 - Spock and Yeoman Rand from "Star Trek"; 1996 - Mousketeers, Cubby and Annette (Winner, Best Couple); 1997 - Schoolhouse Rock, "Conjunction Junction" and "I'm Just a Bill."; 1998 - Woody Allen and Soon-Yi.
