Progressive Development, Part 1
Welcome to the 1st chapter of the "Progressive Development" video series! As you will notice from the opening credits, it's an homage to the TV show "Arrested Development," though plot actually takes place at Progressive Business Publications (PBP), a real publishing company in Malvern, PA. It's the story of Sam North, a new editor at PBP, whose only desire was to earn a coveted spot on the Wall of Fame, an achievement that only the best can reach. In this segment, Sam attends a Wall of Fame ceremony for another editor, but longs for the day he can finally take over his own publication. Featured cast: Brian Poliakoff (Sam North), Tom Busillo (Pierre Nostradamus, the colorful and worldly editorial director), Tim Gould (Tim Gould, the respected Wall-of-Famer), Thomas Golembeski (Ernie N. Burton, Minister of Joy), Rick Reitz (Narrator, doing his, ahem, best Ron Howard impersonation). This video was originally shown in segments at the Progressive Business Publications Editorial Conference in Malvern, PA on September 22 & 23, 2005. It was written, directed, produced and performed by employees of PBP. Although many of the jokes are inside, most of the story is universal. For continuity, you will want to view this chapter first, before the other segments. Enjoy the show! Written and directed by Rick Reitz.
