I believe:

Our children can learn and be successful.

The costs in public education can be controlled.

The public has the right to know all the facts and the plans - Transparency | ACT 1 Tax Commission | Docs online

The primary focus of public education should be the core curriculum subjects of reading, writing, mathematics, science, history, civic rights and civic responsibilities.

It is critical that the focus on teaching and learning includes minimizing classroom interruptions.

The education of children is a responsibility shared between the parents, the schools, the community and the child.

I believe in individual responsibility.

I believe the public schools belong to the community.

I believe in setting measurable goals and making decisions based on accurate data.

I believe in hiring highly qualified, highly effective teachers and paying them fairly.

I believe we can improve student learning through the effective use of technology.

I believe that having basic computer skills will be increasingly more important in the workplace and in everyday life.
