* I will advocate for school reform and financial constraint. My goals

I advocated for not using the exceptions and to stay at a minimum under Act 1 index for 2009-2010.
The Board approved this. I am urging the Board to set the budget to have NO tax increase in 2009-2010.
SASD once again has a $1million surplus inthe budget. This money has been placed in designated funds that are dedicated to various concerns including: pension costs, future electric costs, future health care costs.

Feb 27, 2009 - I testified before the Pennsylvania State Board of Education in support of GCAs.

* I will increase my knowledge of school related matters. I receive email from the Pennsylvania General Assembly.
