This is the property tax relief promised as a part of the gaming bill. The amount will vary each year. The state sends the money to the school district. The district then reduces each qualifying property's taxes. The decrease is noted on the tax bill document. You WILL NOT actually receive a check. You will see the discount on your tax bill.
Northumberland County to count farmers this time The Daily Item, June 17, 2008. The Northumberland County assessor's office failed to process the farmstead applications. When they are included, there will be a reduction of the amount each property will get.*
