8/30/03 Meeting Announcement
To: All Sunset Ridge Home Owners
Dear Neighbors,
As you may have heard, we are moving along in our endeavor whereby we (the owners) will assume control of the Association (aka. SRHOA). To date, the burden of the management has been with Pete Helms. Pete now wishes to relinquish this duty and has suggested we start the process to take over. We have set a target date of January 1, 2004 as the great moment to take on the tasks and responsibility of running the operation. A task force consisting of Jim Pellington, Richard Hohn, and Dick Briden has been reviewing finances, By Laws and the legalities pertaining to the transfer.
We plan to hold a preliminary meeting Labor Day weekend on the Hohn’s deck at 10 o’clock Saturday, August 30. Please try to attend, as this meeting will be a chance for everyone to express their ideas and suggestions on how we best may run the organization We will need this input so that we will be ready to introduce the final organization plan at our first formal ‘Members Meeting’ to be held later in the Fall. At this meeting (date, time and place TBD), we will need to elect Directors/Officers and Committee people. As we are a very small group, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. Please think about areas in which you may want to participate either as a Director/Officer or Chair of a committee (Docks, Water System, Roads, Septic Systems for example).
We would like to thank the Pellingtons, the Hohns, the Bridens and particularly Dick and Donna Haines for their efforts in cleaning up the dock areas and procuring a picnic bench for the beach. Also, we would like to thank Lorraine Collins for all her help in supplying us with information, financial data, and for her overseeing the Association in the past.
If you have any immediate concerns or suggestions, please forward them to any of us below, prior to the scheduled meeting. We would be happy to hear from you. Also if you have an e-mail address, please forward it to us, along with your telephone number(s). It will help us to stay in touch with you and keep you posted on SRHOA activities.
