Quite a bit of progress was made this year on cleaning up the dock area. In addition to
cleaning up the area, we added a new picnic table and we reversed the direction of the
fingers on the dock. Although reversing the fingers initially caused some minor problems
with the location of hardware on some fingers, overall it has proven to be a beneficial change.
The most significant advantage has been that the boats are protected from the heavy winds
and waves, the worst of which are typically from the northwest. A secondary advantage has
been easier entrance into the slips. No longer do we have to negotiate around the moored
boat next door.
This fall we plan to remove the picnic table and put it in storage for the winter. We will notify
everyone via this page when we find out the schedule for removing the docks for the winter.
