Ingredients
2 Cups of Brown
Sugar
1/2 Cup of Butter
1 Egg
1 Cup of Grated
Chocolate
1/2 Cup of Sweet
Milk
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
Flour (to make
a soft dough)
Directions
Cream together
Brown
Sugar, Butter, Egg and Grated Chocolate
Sift dry ingredients
together
Add alternately with
the Milk to the creamed mixture
Chill dough for
several hours. Roll and cut with cookie cutter
Bake at 350 - 375
degrees, 10 - 15 minutes, or until golden brown
Fork
Cookies

(Coconut or Black Walnut)
Ingredients
1 1/2 Cups of Sugar
1 Cup of Butter
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup of Milk
1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda
4 Cups of Flour
2 Tsp. Baking Powder
2 Tsp. Vanilla
1/4 lb. Shredded
Coconut
Directions
Cream Sugar, Butter,
Eggs, Milk and Vanilla
Sift dry ingredients
together and slowly add to creamed mixture
Add Coconut and Blend Well
Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet, pat
with a fork dipped into milk
Sprinkle with
granulated sugar to produce a gloss.
Note: To make Black Walnut Cookies
Use same recipe as
above only use 1 Cup of Black Walnuts in place of the Coconut
Bake at 350 degrees
for 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown
Fruit
and Nut Pinwheel Cookies

Ingredients
2 1/4 Cups of Flour
1/2 Tsp. of Baking
Soda
1/2 Cup of Butter
1/2 Cup of
Granulated Sugar
1/2 Cup of Brown
Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 Tsp. of
Vanilla
1/2 Lb. of Pitted
Dates
1/2 Cup of
Granulated Sugar
1/2 Cup of Water
1 Tbsp. of Cream
1/2 Lb. of English
Walnuts (chopped)
Directions
Cream
Butter, Sugar, Brown Sugar, Egg and Vanilla together
Sift dry ingredients together and slowly add to creamed mixture
Cook Dates, Sugar, Water and Cream together for five (5) minutes or until
thickened
Let stand until cool
then add Chopped Walnuts
Chill the dough and
spread with date mixture. Roll up like a jelly roll and let
set overnight
Then slice and bake
at 350 degrees 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown

Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 Lb. of 10 X
Sugar
1/2 Lb. of Butter
2 Eggs
2 Tbsp. of Cream
1/2 Tsp. of Baking
Soda
1/2 Tsp. Cream of
Tartar
1 Tsp. Vanilla
Flour to Stiffen (
approximately 4 cups)
Directions
Cream Sugar,
Butter,
Eggs and Cream together
Sift dry ingredients together and slowly add to creamed mixture
Add vanilla
Chill dough
overnight in refrigerator
Roll on lightly
floured surface; cut and bake at 350 degrees or until golden brown
Note: These may be sprinkled with red or green sugar, if desired

and Lard
1 Cup of Sour Milk
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
3 Eggs

1 Lb. Boiled Raisins
Directions
Cream together
Sugar, Butter, Lard, Sour Milk and Eggs
Sift dry ingredients together and slowly add to creamed mixture
Add Boiled
Raisins...blend well
Drop by teaspoonful
onto lightly greased cookie sheet
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown

3/4 Cup of Butter

English Walnut

Blend dry ingredients and slowly add to creamed mixture and blend well
Roll out on floured
surface, cut with cookie cutter and place a half piece of English Walnut in
center of each cookie before baking

Cookies
Ingredients
1 Lb. Shortening
2 Cups of Granulated
Sugar
4 Eggs
1 Tbsp. Molasses
1/4 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Lb. Brazil Nuts
4 1/2 Cups of Flour
1 Tbsp. Vanilla
1 Cup Grated Coconut
Directions
Scrape
brown skins from Nuts, chop fine
Melt Shortening, slowly add Sugar
Then well-beaten Eggs, Molasses, Baking Soda, Vanilla, and Nuts
Add Flour and blend all together
Roll up and chill,
slice when cold
Bake at 350 degrees 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown

Ingredients
2/3 Cup of Butter
1 Cup of Granulated Sugar
1/4 Cup of Milk
2 Eggs
1 Tsp. of Vanilla
1 Tsp. of Baking Soda
1/4 tsp. Salt
4 Cups of Flour
Directions
Cream Butter and
Sugar
Beat in Eggs
Dissolve Baking Soda in Milk
Add Vanilla
Stir Flour in slowly
Add Salt
Chill 1/2 hour
Roll to around 1/8" thick
Dip cutter in flour before every cutting
Bake for 8 minutes at 350
degrees
