Our Pastor

Rev. Dr. Kim L. Lengert

    At a meeting of the congregation on January 9, 2011, the congregation voted to elect the Rev. Dr. Kim  L. Lengert as the new pastor of Christ's United Lutheran Church, replacing Pastor Robert Hoenich who retired on February 28, 2010.  She began her ministry here among us at the beginning of February.

    Rev. Lengert's biography as a pastor is most impressive.

    Her ministry as Pastor Developer, Word of Life Deaf Lutheran Church, she was a consultant for the ELCA Deaf Ministry.  She started new organizations, started writing new curriculum and demographic analyses.

    Her Ministry for Re-Development:

    *  Incarnation Lutheran Church
            - Visioning
            - Community Organizing (Pacific Institute for Community Organizing)

        - Ministry Framework

        Pastor Lengert's Education, along with her Ministry, is equally impressive to say the least.

            *  Trinity Lutheran Seminary

    - Campus Chaplain
                    - Youth Director

            -  Clinical Pastoral Education (Hospital Chaplain)

        Pastor Lengert is also an Attorney and Counselor at Law.
            Her practice deals with issues of children (Custody, Adoptions, Guardianships and Estates)

        All people have value.  All people deserve respect and all people need something and someone to stand with them throughout life changes.

        Pastor Lengert has been serving as a pastor in Central Pennsylvania for the past twenty one years.  She was raised in a German family and is fluent in American Sign Language.
        In her spare time she enjoys puttering around her 200 year old farm house along with her two Doberman's, cars, bicycling on local trails and fly fishing in the nearby trout streams.
      Also in her spare time she belongs to Mensa, serves as a legal advisor for the High School Mock Trial Team and the High School Scholarship Organization and last, but certainly not least, is active at her Local Animal Shelter.
