Diana J. was the eleventh child born into the Baxter family. She remained single all of her life. She was an excellent seamstress and made most of the clothes and quilts for her family. She even made dolls for her many nieces.
She lived with Lena and Will on the farm and then in Mexico, New York.
According to Lena's diaries, they often had visits from their nieces and nephews who lived close by.
From Lena's diary:
Diana and Margaret (Alex and Mary's granddaughter) went barying (berry picking). Got quite a mess. I eyern (iron) and finish the work. Diana made Grace (sister of Margarette) a doll. Diana sode (sewed) on that white dress all day and gess (guess) it is done.
