Peter N. Baxter

born April 13, 1849

died June 23, 1930

Peter was the seventh child of Seymour and Dinah Baxter. He was the first born in the United States, only a few months after they arrived in Jefferson County, New York.
He married Mary A. Gavlin, who was a weaver, and they had at least one child, Ross N, who was born in 1893.
According to the 1910 abd 1920 U.S. census records, Peter lived in Oakland County, Michigan.
Although he wrote letters to his family, as logged in Lena's diaries, very little is known about him.
He died in 1930 in Michigan.
