About Glenn S. Piper
Personal . . .
	Since you are reading this, I'll have to assume you are bored.  I was born in 1962.  Rumor has that my name was roughly based on the events of the time.  The U.S. Space Race with Russia was on, and we had just started launching rockets into space.  Rumor has it that 'Glenn' comes from John Glenn, and 'Scott' comes from Scott Carpenter.  My parents tell me this, but I must admit, they don't hold to it with conviction, so maybe it's just a nice story.  I grew up in rural Berks County, Pennsylvania, in the town of Gibraltar.  My mother's side of the family had lived there since the original immigrants settled in the area around the 1730's-1740's.
Hobbies . . .
	Where do I begin.  I have such an eclectic list of hobbies and interests.  Some of them are found on other pages on this site.  Basically, I have a short attention span, so I wander from interest to interest, and I pride myself about knowing a little about a lot of things.  Right now, my interests lie heavily on genealogy.
Music . . .
	You will find a great mix of music on the CD rack.  Basically, I like all kinds of music, but prefer not to listen to rap, country western, or opera.  That leaves the listening field pretty wide open.  Depending on my mood, I could be listening to a orchestral arrangement of Beethoven or zoning out to the tunes of U2.  Right now, my favorite CD is
