Events of the Day:

Monday was spent with our Russian friends. We went back to the WW-II memorial in Kiev since our friends had not visited the site before and Travis was just "itching" to get back to see the military hardware on display at the site. It was a beautiful day and a perfect spot for walking, talking, and photography. Unfortunately, the day was too short - Our friends needed to get on the road to their next destination (another 4 hours by car). Although short in duration, our visit was memorable.

Later in the day, we made another pilgrimage to McDonald's. On our walk back to the apartment we stopped in a small park 2 blocks up the hill on Olesya Gonchara. The park had a nice fountain and a play area for the children (as many of these public parks in Kiev do).
