A new puppy?!?!? It's a long story, but the short version goes like this. Two years ago, I'd planned to get the pick blue puppy from Tom's Stoney/Aspen litter. Then he changed his mind, and by the time he decided to do the litter last fall, I thought I wanted a different type of Aussie. Although I was always kind of "looking", it was probably the worst time ever for a puppy. But then I met the black tri pup from the litter that lives locally and saw pictures of the only female that Tom kept. Tom told me he'd changed his mind about keeping two pups and that the blue male was available. After I saw the pictures, my daughter and I drove down to meet him. Needless to say, I was a goner. :) Tom graciously offered an arrangement that worked for both of us, and the pick blue boy from the litter came home with me after all.
Born on Christmas Eve, Corey is a wonderful pup with a delightful temperament. He seems to be pretty much fearless and enjoys jumping from couch to chair! Can we see "agility" in his future? That along with obedience, rally and conformation will keep us busy. We'll see how things go with sheep, too.
Many thanks to Tom and Kim Gerard of TK Rocks Aussies for letting this handsome young man come to live with us. We are enjoying him immensely!

Photo at the top of the page was taken by Rob Gerity Photography at the ASCA Golden Jubilee nationals in early October 2007. At just nine months old, Corey placed second in Saturday's pre-show and first in the one on Monday.
| Corey made his debut in conformation at the Tioga Kennel Club match on 5/28/07. He was Best 4-6 Male in Puppy Variety and later was Best of Breed and a Group 2! |

He's trying to convince Phoebe that he's so cute and just a baby after all, so she has to give him the toy! They have become best buds and play well together.
