 Li (Organizing Principle)
Sand and wave patterns; big cat markings; bark and leaf designs;

soap and marble swirls; crystalline and rock forms;
tree branch types with nature's dynamic
and sometimes enigmatic designs.
The study of these shapes,
a subject virtually unheard of in the west,
was known in ancient China as Li,
the sister science to Feng Shui.

Li are essentially dynamic formations, and as such can give the impression
of a frozen moment or a process caught at a particular instant in time.
Li embraces the principle of energy engaged within that form.
