LeAnne Brogan was born on January 12, 1958.
She resides in
Freeland,
Pennsylvania, with
her husband and two
sons. She was raised
in a family of
seven, with her
parents, John and
Dolores.
Her story is truthful,
straightforward, and
emotional.
Throughout the book
she refers to
herself as Amy, a
name she loved from
childhood. Anorexia
nervosa she lived,
self-destructed, and
rebounded. Her
husband, sons and
family walked through it with her. She freed herself from deeply suppressed emotions
and uncovered hundreds of exceptional and admirable qualities within her. Everyone has them:
you need to search
within yourself,
recognize, and uncover your
gifts of uniqueness. Believe in yourself. Accept, respect and love yourself.
LeAnne has, and so can you!
LeAnne is employed in the Hazleton Area School District as a paraprofessional working with elementary
and middle school children in the
Drums Library. A
speaker and expert
on eating disorders,
she wrote her second
book, After the
Bell Rings, to
honor those students
who played a vital
role in her
recovery. Each child
is a story. In
After the Bell
Rings, LeAnne
shares memorable
moments that occur
in school. Her next
goal is to write a
children's book. |
