As I stated elsewhere, I frequent
the Internet Relay Chat channel
#OS/2. IRC is the ability to have a conversation with one or more
people via the
computer keyboard and monitor. They may be in the house next door, or
in a faraway
place on the other side of the world. To provide for more people to
chat simultaneously,
several IRC servers can be linked into a network. There are now several
IRC networks,
with two of the most popular (and toughest to log onto) being EFnet and
the Undernet.
