STORM FAMILY BURIAL GROUND
Hamilton Twp., Monroe Co., PA

Aka.: J. Storm's graveyard. This small, old family burial ground is located on the north side of Business Route 209 between the village of Snydersville and Stroudsburg. From the crossroads at Snydersville, drive 1 and 2/10 miles northeast on Business Route 209. Stop before the road curves to the right (called Deadman's curve). The burial ground is in the woods on the left about 50-60 yards off of the road. This burial site has been abandoned for many years and was used by the Storm family who owned the surrounding property. The burial site is overgrown with saplings and brush. The area is large enough to hold about 20 - 30 graves. However, only 10 tombstones were found. The earliest tombstone is dated 1825 and the most recent, 1895. Family names on the stones are Ayers, Storm and Strausz. (Extracted from "Guide to Cemeteries and Burial Grounds of Monroe County, Pennsylvania", compiled by Dale E. Berger, January, 1995, First Edition)
