Tannersville Methodist Church is located in the village of Tannersville (once called Learn's Tavern). The cemetery is behind the church on the east side of Rote 611, approximately in the center of town. This church was established in 1859 (Alfred Matthews, "History of Wayne, Pike and Monroe Counties, Pennsylvania, pg. 1249). The date on the earliest stone indicates that burials here started around 1861. The cemetery is still in use.
