Palms and Tropicals in Amish Country!
Lancaster county, Pennsylvania has been known for centuries to be the "Garden Spot" of America, both for its fertility of soil and excellence of tillage. Unfortunately, I did not get the same soil on my property! I have some nasty, heavy, red clay soil which does not make excellent ground for anything I'm interested in growing. Luckily, quality topsoil was not far away!
