My 1960 Chevy Sedan Delivery Page

I purchased the car in October '84 with only 47,000 original miles on it. The guy I bought it from, acquired it from a house painter, who painted it with house paint. It was almost hacked up into an El Camino, but was saved by the guy I bought it from! It was last inspected in 1968!
Since purchasing, I've replaced the anemic 6 cyl with a GM crate 350. Engine mods include an Edelbrock performer carb/intake. Exhaust chores are handled by ceramic coated  ramshorn exhaust manifolds. The original "three on the tree" has been replaced by a B&M Pro Stick shifted Turbo 350. In the sneaker department, B F Goodrich tires(275/60/15 rears, 205/70/15 front) are mounted on ralley wheels.I replaced all the gauges with Autometer gauges. Power door locks have been installed, along with 6 way power seats out of an '88 Olds. A custom built center console houses a Sony CD player (with remote mounted where column shifter used to be), along with the air bolster controls for the seats. I got it inspected on October 18, 99 and drove it in primer until 2004. The bodywork was started  on April 26, 2004. A GREAT friend of mine, Kevin, helped me do the massive amount of work needed. A  '69 Z-28 hood scoop has been molded onto the hood. Once the bodywork was done, Little Dee painted the car in  Hugger Orange base coat clear coat! He did an excellant job!  He also helped us on the problem areas of bodywork! MANY THANKS LITTLE DEE!!!! Frank made the template for the Bad News lettering on the sides, and it came out GREAT! I gave Little Dee free reign applying the lettering. I chose Brinks Blue for the lettering, and Little Dee applied blue and orange pearl in the binder clearcoat over the lettering. You should see it in the sun!!!!
The car was reassembled (It was painted in pieces) A new headliner has been installed, along with new kick panels, windlace, new tinted side windows and a nice used tinted windshield out of one of my parts cars.
I literally finished the car the day before Super Chevy @ Maple Grove 2007, where it took an Outstanding Award in the Modified Big Car class.
The next show was a small local show at the Andreas Fire company where it took top honors (spectator voting)
The 3rd show was an event at the Franklin Township Fire Company held by the Jukebox Cruisers where it took First in the Modified Class(spectator voting)
The fourth and final show for 2007 was at the Hometown Farmers Market held by the Tamaqua Street Machine Association where it took third place in the 1960-1969 Modified class.
The trophies and plaques are nice but the coolest part of the shows was the people that approached me to talk about the plastic model they had when they were younger.

Below are links to pictures I took of it over the years, in chronological order. To keep the clutter to a minimum, I list the pictures by an explanation. To see the picture, click on the explanation!
