Anna D. Reichel, 81, of Breinigsville, died Friday, Aug. 14, in Lehigh
Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Floyd G.
Reichel Sr. She was a sewing machine operator for the former Schneider's
Mill, Allentown, for 45 years until retiring in 1972. Born in Bath, she was
a daughter of the late Michael and Minnie (Albert) Davis. She was a member
of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, Allentown. Survivors: Sons, Floyd
Jr. of Breinigsville and Lewis and Ralph, both at home; daughters, Anna Mae,
wife of Albert Leibenguth of Allentown, and Helen, wife of Hubert Brown of
North Newton, Kansas; brothers, Frederick, David and Richard all of
Allentown, and Joseph of Atlantic City, N.J.; sisters, Helen Nuben and
Marion Transue, both of Allentown, and Julia Kinsey in Connecticut, 11
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday,
Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave., Allentown; continued services at 11 a.m.

Ralph J. Reichel, 51, of Allentown, died Dec. 30, 2007, at St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Lancaster and
raised in Breinigsville, he was a son of the late Floyd G. and Anna (Davis ) Reichel. Ralph served in the Army. He
enjoyed Harleys and playing on the computer. Survivors: Colleen Klaum, his live-in companion; sisters, Anna Mae
Leibenguth, Helen Brown; brothers, Floyd Jr., Lewis; nieces, nephews. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Weber Funeral Home,

Floyd G. Reichel Sr., 79, of Breinigsville R2, died Monday in the Lehigh
Valley Hospital Center. He was the husband of Anna (Davis) Reichel. He was
a machine operator for Airco, Inc.., Bethlehem for 28 years before retiring
in 1970. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Louis and Alice
(Bogert) Reichel. He was a member of St. George's Orthodox Church,
Allentown. Surviving with his widow are three sons, Floyd G. Jr., of
Breinigsville R2, Lewis M. of Alburtis R2 and Ralph J. at home; two
daughters, Anna Mae, wife of Albert Leibenguth of Allentown, and Helen A.
wife of Hubert Brown of Englewood, Calif.; a sister Catherine, wife of
Franklin Persing of Macungie; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge
Ave., Allentown, with continued services at 2 p.m. in the church. Calling
hours will be noon Thursday until services. |

Mrs. Alice (Bogert) Reichel widow of Lewis Reichel, died Wednesday in
Gardina, Calif. She was 83. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the
late Oscar and Alfina (Roth) Bogert of Allentown. She was a resident of
15320 South Vaness Ave., Gardina, Calif., the past 25 years. Surviving area
son Floyd of Breinigsville; a daughter, Catherine, wife of Lee Persing of
Gardena, Calif.; a brother Edwin; five grandchildren, and a
great-grandchild. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Zimmerman
Funeral Home, 1124 Walnut St., Allentown. Viewing will be 7-8:30 p.m.

Lewis Reichel, 80, a former resident of Allentown, died Monday
at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Persing,
Gardenia, Calif., with whom he resided. Before moving to California
from Allentown 10 years ago he employed by Hielman Boiler Works,
Inc. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Alice (Bogert) Reichel, Gardenia;
two daughters, Catherine, wife of Lee Persing, and Lillian, wife
of Charles Wieand, Allentown; a son Floyd Reichel, Breinigsville
R1; five grandchildren; a brother and three sisters. Funeral Arrangements
will be completed by the Derr Funeral Home. Date: Saturday, November
17, 1956 Services for Louis Reichel, 80, former Allentown resident
who died Monday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Franklin Persing, Gardenia, Calif., will be at 1:30 p.m.
Monday at the Derr Funeral Home, 46 E. Susquehanna St., Allentown.
Surviving with his daughter are his wife, Mrs. Alice (Bogert)
Reichel; a daughter Lillian, wife of Charles Wieand, Emmaus; a
son, Floyd, Breinigsville R1; a brother Edward, and two sisters,
Mrs Hilda Butz and Mrs Laura Bechtel, both of Allentown. A daughter
Mrs. Evelyn Whitehead preceded him in death. |

Lewis M. Reichel, 63, of Allentown passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009 in the hospice
unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Janet E. (Snyder) Reichel. They
celebrated their 40th weddding anniversary in May. Born in Allentown he was a son of
the late Floyd G. Sr. and Anna (Davis) Reichel. He was a battery filler in the S-1 building
at East Penn Manufacturing and prior was a laborer for the former Caloric Corporation. He was
a Army veteran of the Vietnam War and belonged to Howard L. Peter American Legion Post 576, Allentown.
Survivors: Wife; daughters, Eileen D. wife of Eric J. Rape of Whitehall; Sharon D. wife of Richard H.
Kichline of Coplay; brother, Floyd G. Jr., of Breinigsville; sisters Anna Mae wife of Albert Leibenguth
of Allentown; Helen wife of Rev. Hubert Brown of Newton, Kans.; six grandchildren, Erik, Jessica, Morgan,

Cedarbrook, South Whitehall Township. He was the husband of Edna (Troutman)
Butz. They observed their 60th wedding anniversary in June. Butz was a
concrete finisher for various area companies for many years before retiring
in 1969. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Solomon Sr. and Hilda
Butz. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Allentown, where
he served on the board of directors. He was a Navy veteran of World War I.
Surviving with his widow are a son, Dr. Robert E. of Dayton, Ohio; two
brothers, Theodore and Solomon Jr., both of Allentown; a sister, Mrs Mary
Heffley of Oley, Berks County; two grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren. Services will be a 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Donald
N. Bachman Funeral Home, 1030 Walnut St., Allentown. A calling period will
