One of my occasional Ebay purchases,
this piece of burl comes from Mexico. The wood is fairly hard and the inside gave
me a lot of difficulty for such a small piece, 4" diameter by 4" high. The photo
doesn't do this piece of burl justice. The eyes on this piece are very dense. I
removed the bark opting for a spiky rim. I used my usual tung oil finish which
was then buffed using the Beal system.
