#27 Holly Bowl

This is from the same tree as the other holly bowl only I this one had been stored in my freezer (thanks to my wife for making room) for about a month. Even in that short a period of time the wood started to discolor. That greenish hue is not a problem with the photo but is in the wood. Makes it interesting but I still like the pure white of fresh holly better. This is my first attempt at turning a square natural edged piece. I really like the shape as it is really different from anything else I've done. I did sand the ends into a concave shape so its not actually a true rectangle. Its finished with Krylon Matte Finish and then buffed using the Beal system.
