Fine Woodturning by Tony Manella |
This was the first box that I turned.
It was done several years ago. I chose this piece of box elder because it didn't have
any red in it, like box elder often does, and I wanted to do something fancy. I had
also just bought a beading tool (I know that's cheating) and wanted to try it out.
I found the tool to work well on box elder even though the tool is meant for harder
woods. I still like this design, it hides the joint very well.
