Fine Woodturning by Tony Manella |
I wrote dogwood on this piece
but I'm not convinced that is the wood. It has a nice pinkish hue. I had many
problems with the rim of this piece cracking while it was still on the lathe. Because
of this, the hole ended up much larger than I would have liked so I decided to put a
contrasting rim on the piece. The bloodwood really pulls the red out of the dogwood.
