This piece was originally bleached and
unpainted. It was damaged at a show. The only way I could repair the dents was to use
wood filler, which would show up. So I decided to paint the piece. I used a two-part
faux rust finish. This added texture as well as the color. I also turned the base down
a bit so it was a little more stable. I like the piece better now than when it was just
bleached. I will definitely try this on another piece.
