Fine Woodturning by Tony Manella |
When we bought this house the previous
owners left the old kitchen cabinets and counter tops in the basement. I decided to use
them in my shop and they give me a lot of storage and lots of counter space (which I tend
to keep heaped with piles of tools, wood and junk). My table saw neatly tucks under the
cantilevered counter top, which is nice because I rarely use this tool. The base cabinets on the right are actually wall
cabinets which I have shimmed off of the floor. I put two corner cabinets together to
form a bench which I can sit under and do work on the bench. Of course at this point I keep
all of my turning tools strewn over this bench so I don't use it for work. My next shop
project will be building something to organize all of my turning tools.
