Owen Frey was
taken prisoner July 1, 1863 at Gettysburg. According to his pension records, he
was taken to Carlisle and then to West Chester. Owen was brother to Cpl Thomas
Edward Frey of Co A. Information supplied by his

Thomas Edward Frey
died at Harewood Hospital in Washington DC of typhoid fever. Thomas was brother
to Pvt Owen Frey of Co A. Information supplied by a

Jacob E. Koken
died in 1932. Jacob was one of the last surviving veterans of Gettysburg
and attended the 50th Reunion there. Information from his great-great
grandson.
Jacob F. Smith
and Joseph C. Smith were twin brothers who enlisted at
the age of 22 in Company A and fought side by side at Chancellorsville and
Gettysburg. Jacob died 1/29/1929 at Northampton PA and Joseph died 9/10/1909 at
Nazareth PA. Information from Jacob's
great grandson.
Horatio D. Yeager,
according to a family story on the Battle of Gettysburg, was found in a manure
pile with a leg shot off. Either the ammonia or sulphur contained in the manure
helped stop the bleeding. After the battle, he became a doctor in Philadelphia.

Peter Weiss
was born 4/3/1835 at Spring Valley, Lehigh County PA and died 2/5/1901
at Bethlehem, Northampton County PA. On 9/13/1863, Peter married Sarah
A. Brader and they had nine children. Information from a
descendant.
Henry
Miller was the son of Rev. Charles P. Miller, pastor of St. Luke's
Lutheran Church, Nockamixon, Bucks County, and the brother of Theodore
Miller. He died as a result of a wound to the leg at East Cemetery Hill,
Gettysburg, 7/2/1863. He is buried with his parents at St. Luke's.

Theodore
Miller was the son of Rev. Charles P. Miller, pastor of St. Luke's
Lutheran Church, Nockamixon, Bucks County, and the brother of Henry
Miller. He owned and operated a store at Upper Black Eddy, Bucks County,
until the 1890's when he moved to Camden NJ. He died in 1911 and is
buried at Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken NJ beside his wife and two of
his sons. Information from a
great
grandson.
James
Thompson was born at Balbriggan, near Dublin, Ireland 4/6/1821. While in his
teens he came to New York where in 1853 he married Mrs. Ellen Wallace and they
had 3 children - John, James, and Jennie. Discharged from service due to being
badly wounded at Chancellorsville, he was a member of the GAR. He died 2/15/1891
at Bethlehem. Information from a
descendant.
Milton Koch,
a laborer, was born 3/8/1841 at Leithsville, Northampton County and died at
Lehighton 4/2/1831. He is buried at Gnaden Huetten Cemetary at Lehighton. He
married Mary Ann Seith (1847-1924) at Allentown, Lehigh County 2/4/1865 by
Reverend William Roth. They had the following children: Morris Elmer 3/2/1865,
Ellen Florinda 11/8/1866, Preston Ibson 9/1/1868, Mary Magdalena 8/31/1870,
William 8/22/1872, Alice Susanna 1/14/1876, Emma 8/10/1878, Reedie 1/28/1881,
Cora Amila 3/19/1883, Beulah May 7/27/1885, Mabel Florence 9/14/1889 and Edith
Eudelah 2/5/1892. Information from a
descendant.
