Two decades ago the Local Music Collective was formed and it continues to be dedicated to promoting acoustic music in the immediate area. Our services include:
House Jams Each month a different member of the group opens up their home to everyone who wants to either play or listen to music. Each jam is unique because it reflects the musical tastes of those who attend.
Newsletter A quarterly newsletter is produced to inform members of musical opportunities that exist in our local area. To get the newsletter, look under membership.
King Street Coffeehouse the LMC & the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Susquehanna Valley cosponsor this venue for local musicians to perform in front of an appreciative audience .

These programs are all run through the efforts of volunteers who believe in promoting local music an they work hard, often with no recognition. The group has no official/elected officers except a treasurer and has only held one meeting. The quarterly newsletter is the primary vehicle for keeping members informed about events.
