UNIQUE WAY OF TEACHING
SUNDAY SCHOOL AT BERGSTRASSE!
Bergstrasse Lutheran Church is in its fourth
exciting year of Rotation Sunday School. Every week, children
from pre-school age through 7th grade enjoy learning a bible
story in a different setting. Bergstrasse has transformed its
Sunday school rooms into a movie theater, a drama room, a computer
lab, an art studio, and a game room. The children also experience the
bible through cooking and science. “Rotating” through the
various rooms, the children learn bible stories and of the love of
Jesus in a unique and effective way.
The theme for this
year’s Sunday school is “Faith: Our World Mission”. The
stories covered this year will have the common thread of “faith”
running through them. Since children learn in different ways,
Bergstrasse’s innovative way of teaching will allow children to
understand the stories and their meanings by learning in a variety of
ways. They will also learn of the importance of mission at home
and in the world. Several mission projects will be incorporated
into the lessons.
Bergstrasse provides
breakfast to the children each week at the beginning of Sunday school.
This allows parents to have a little more time in the morning.
Also, at the end of every unit, the children present, to the
congregation, what they have learned. This is done through
songs, skits, puppet shows and other creative ways, during our
“family friendly” worship service.
Rotation Sunday school at Bergstrasse begins with breakfast at 9:00am
every Sunday and ends at 10:15am. Worship begins at 10:30am.
We are located at the junction of Rt. 322 and Rt. 222, next to the new
