The Souper Bowl seeks to "love the Lord our God and love our neighbors" by encouraging people to give one dollar each as they leave worship on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3, 2002. Young people from congregations in all parts of the country stand at sanctuary exits and receive the dollar donations in large soup pots, including Bergstrasse. All the money and any food collected from Bergstrasse will be sent directly to the Ephrata Area Social Services (EASS). The EASS runs a food bank, clothing bank, Meals on Wheels, emergency assistance for transients, and many other programs to benefit our neighbors.  Here at Bergstrasse we look forward to participating in this annual event.
