Does Anybody Know This Bear???
This charming bear arrived on my desk at work in a box from the Vermont Teddy Bear factory. He's sporting hiking boots, shorts, a backpack, and a shirt that says "I Did It, 8-17-02". I assume the inscription refers to my climb up Mount Washington (not the bear's, although we might have seen him behind a cairn on Bigelow Lawn).

Anyway, no one seems to own up to the gift, which is appreciated beyond words. His little backpack contained a compass and tiny bug jar complete with plastic bug! I've added one of the few small rocks that I carried down.

So, I've named him Tucker after Tuckerman Ravine, our way up... and a great local beer. If you can solve the mystery be sure to let me know. Either way, Tucker will inhabit a prominent spot at home... when he's not out hiking.
