Taxable: Rowan Co., Iredell Dist/1761; Rowan Co./1768- George Tucker and sons George, William, Nathaniel, Robert and Samuel Tucker... By 1771 George Tucker, Sr listed as taxable in BUTE CO.

    Bute Co., NC Wills/1777, 4614 pt 1-2-3: "To my wife Gemima Tucker, Estate.... and to my last 2 children to share equally with my first children. My wife and son (Sion) Tucker, my executrs". Wit: Thos.Newman, Molly Tucker, Lance Fox. 1770/Feb. Ct.: Inv of Estate of George Tucker, dec'd - 405 acs of land in Bute Co.......and personal property. (Wording of will seems odd, are we justified in assuming it to indicate Gemima was 2nd wife and 2 youngest were her children?)

    Roster of Soldiers, NC Militia, Rev. War, p 344 lists a George Tucker....not George Jr.,..perhaps George Sr.

    Birth order of sons is guesswork. Researcher that identified John & Rhuama didn't show any documentation. Can be fairly certain about John but ?'s re accuracy of data on Rhuama. Who was Molly Tucker mentioned in George Sr.'s will? (Molly/Polly are nicknames for Mary)

He had no children and was cared for by Salley Ward in his old age.

            General Notes:Someone gave Elma Hooker the date of 4 Sep 1774 (which was birthdate of Amy Roselle Tucker, dau. of William and Matilda) IF Ruhama was born in 1774 she would have been a minor at time of her father's death we ought to be able to locate recordof guardianship for her.

Ruhama married John Northcott.

            George next married Gemima Malone.
