Salem United Church of Christ, located in Coal Township, is a member church of the Central Association of the Penn Central Conference in Pennsylvania. With an active Women's Guild, Youth Group and progressive membership, our church family is 85 years and growing in our ongoing experiences in Christian faith and following.

1st Sunday of the month Worship at 8 & 10am with Communion
Every other Sunday of the month Worship at 10am
Sunday School for all ages at 9:00 a.m.
Summer schedule Morning Worship 9 a.m. No Sunday School.

We, the people of Salem United Church of Christ, seeking to be participants in God's mission and followers of Jesus Christ and his teachings, commit ourselves, through the power of the Holy Spirit . . . To honor God and all humanity; To witness to God's unfailing love by our daily words and deeds; To acknowledge and use our gifts and talents so Christ may rejoice in us; To show Christ's unconditional love through our compassion and support for those who are troubled and in need; To claim the courage to work for justice, to protect the earth, and to destroy the yoke of oppression, poverty and prejudice in our community and in the world; To support one another as we strive to fulfill this statement of mission both individually and as a congregation.
