The following is a typical HPLC chromatogram.
This chromatogram was run on a porous graphite carbon column manufactured by Shandon purchased from Keystone Scientific. The chromatogram was monitored by a Kratos UV detector at 283 nm. The isocratic mobile phase used was 65 % hexane/ 35% toluene at a flow rate of 1.80 mL/min. The mobile phase was pumped with a Spectra Physics 8800 pumps.
It may be of interest to note that most of the above equipment is no longer in stock and several of the companies have been purchased by another company or changed names. In the instrument business it is run or be eaten! or so it seems.
