Our
Name
The
name Cirent (pronounced seer-ent) Semiconductor
was derived from our original partnership between
Lucent Technologies and Cirrus Logic. Cirent Semiconductor,
G.P. is a general partnership chartered in the state
of New York. Cirent Semiconductor is a wholly-owned
subsidiary of Agere Systems. The Cirent Semiconductor
logo was created to reflect the bold, red color
from our parent Lucent Technologies and demonstrate
the partnership between two outstanding semiconductor
companies.
