From Pastor Wells Desk

The Lenten Season is now in full swing. The Wednesday night services are being conducted with the support of the four churches that are a part of the Mahoning Valley group. The opportunity to pause and reflect on our lives is becoming rarer as we face the heavy demands on our time, resources, and families. Our traditions in our families shape us in so many ways. The St. Peter’s family has the benefit of two faith traditions that share many ideas and practices. This is a great strength of our church. We teach our children that we work together, worship together, and fellowship together. This is a special gift that we receive as we gather here in God’s house. You can feel the difference on Sunday morning and you can see it in the various fund raising projects of the church. I am sure that this same kind of warmth will be a gift you give to your new pastor.
Let us pray that the strength of our faith, the work of our hands, and the goodwill of our fellowship will grow during this Lenten season and the fruit of our labors will be seen in all we do on Sunday and through the week.
It has been a privilege to be your pastor, and to share with you in Worship, the great fellowship; that is St. Peter’s. Elaine and I have made many friends here and that friendship will always be cherished and special. My ministry started here in the last of May, 2008. It is with pride and humility that I share with you that you have made a profound impact on my family and me. I appreciate the respect and support I have received from you all. I especially am thankful for the way you have welcomed Elaine and I into the St. Peter’s family. It has been a joy to work with the marvelous young people in confirmation. They truly have enriched my life and ministry.
There are so many people I would like to thank for encouraging me and sharing your lives and families with me. Your future is bright! Elaine and I will pray for your success! You all will be in our thoughts and prayers!
May God bless and keep you all!
Pastor Wells
